Freelance writer and editor Deborah Kalb included The Great American Foot Race in her blog, Book Q&As.  It is an honor to be included in a blog that has run continuously for five years, maintained by an editor and author as accomplished as she.  Follow the link to see how I replied to her questions:

Life is often compared to a marathon. But I think it is more like being a sprinter, long stretches of hard work punctuated by brief moments in which we are given the opportunity to perform at our best. The book I always say that influenced me, subconsciously, because at the time I didn't know I wanted to be a writer, was William Goldman's 'Marathon Man.' That was the first adult thriller that I loved. I read it when I was 15 or so, when my father gave it to me.

I agree with you that it's really an honor to be interviewed by one and only Deborah Kalb. Perhaps she saw something in you that's why she had the interest to have an interview with you and have your blog included in her list! By the way, as you can noticed she asked you a lot of weird questions. She's known for that and you don't need to be surprised! At least you were able to answer all her questions very well! Congratulations!
